Hello, I've noticed in your brief review of David Lazar's new book on Geary's whatsit that you've missed, according to the Harvard Review's review of the book, a couple of [apostrophe] ls off the one aph I liked in it, this one: "Unless you write your epitaph, you['ll] never get the last word." I may be an "ever so 'umble" ex-kitchen-porter type not used to bandying witty words of truth with poetic colledge professsors, but if I'm not right here then who isn't there? If you don't believe me, go and check it out, why don't you?

P.S. This "He aspired to translate music into language." I have no idea what you mean here, it's just a sentence to me, nothing more, nothing even more than that.

Yours sincerely, Ichabod Plain, Esq.

Thank you, I'll check and try to get it corrected.

Stet...Turns out Harvard Review was wrong in this case.

Ok, that's good news...that these overeducated buffoons at the Harvard Review can get it wrong, just as easily as any simple, uneducated buffoon can do, virtually all the time.

Also, have you noticed, that in the "Advance praise for Wit's End" bit on Geary's blog, in noteing Stephen Fry's qualities (& qualifications), and in describing him as a "comedian, actor, and writer", Geary here has used the Oxford comma where he certainly generally doesn't? Who does he think he is, an Oggsford man?
