If in poetry there was an analog to Vasari’s story about Giotto’s perfect circle, would it be the ability to compose a perfect pentameter couplet as epigram on any given subject? ("Perfetto come la 'O' di Giotto", the Italian meaning: "As perfect as Giotto's circle".)

Poet's choice. But I was thinking that it would be rhymed. On the spot, executing a basic poetic element flawlessly without much thought or noticeable effort, alla prima, as is sometimes said of art.
Like Picasso sketching on a napkin. (And, the surely apocryphal story goes, using the napkin to pay the bill at the restaurant.)
