Time seen through the image is time lost from view. Being and time are quite different. The image shimmers eternal, when it has outstripped being and time.

Excellent quote. Black Widow is an essential press. If you haven't seen their edition of Guillevic's Art Poetique, pick it up when you have a chance. It's full of aphoristic brilliance. A very small sampling here: http://www.jhwriter.com/?p=3822
I only was introduced to Black Widow at at reading by Mary Ann Caws this past November in CT. I don't know why I missed it.
